In Circle of life, photographer Lieve Blancquaert looks back on the television series Birth day, Wedding day and Last days, for which she travelled around the world. She goes through all the memories and uses a new vision on the many experiences she dealed with on her journey.

Because across bordes of births, weddings an dead, there are a lot of other things that connect people and distinguish one from another. Every episode is about a theme that our whole life, everywhere in the world, comes back: love, faith, the gap between rich and poor, relations between men and women, and our many traditions.
Due to the distance Lieve took from her job, she was able to distract new elements ann to see the bigger picture. The result of this is Circle of life.
