EUROPE’S BIG5

Host Chris Dusauchoit and young biologists Iwan Lewyille and Frederik Thoelen – known from Animals In Trouble – set out to find Europe’s Big5. Working together with the elite of European wildlife experts, they will decide what five animals are the most impressive of our continent. At the end of their journey, they will officially present Europe’s Big5 to European president Herman Van Rompuy.

In five episodes and two teams, they travel from north to south and from east to west, across the entire continent. They will work together very best wildlife experts in Europe. Staffan Widstrand is a Swedish nature photographer and -author. John Linnel is an ecologist and works as a senior researcher at the Institute of Natural Sciences in Norway. And Luigi Boitani is a biology professor at the university of Rome and wrote several books on carnivores. 

The fantastic journey takes the team to Finland, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Spain, Romania and Austria. Which animals will make the Big5?
